The Backyard Showcase was founded by our owner, Michael Zook, in 2016. He began his journey at a young age when he started working at a local Lancaster pavilion shop. After gaining hands-on experience installing outdoor structures at customers’ homes, Michael transitioned into Sales in 2016, leading to the creation of The Backyard Structure. Our company utilizes Michael’s extensive knowledge to create excellent, custom solutions for you. We are dedicated to enhancing your outdoor living spaces with beautiful structures, ensuring each project reflects your unique vision.

How do I order?
You may call in at (717) 288-3094 or fill out our multiple forms throughout our website to get in contact with a Salesperson. We strive to be responsive and attentive to each request.
How custom can I go?
We do have our “standard” sizes but are able to do any size that you request.
Can BYS install your structure?
Yes, Backyard services the East Coast with in-house installation crews. Ask your salesperson if installation is available in your area.
Can I build my structure myself?
Yes, the backyard structures we sell come as an easy-to-assemble kit, complete with all the mounting hardware and detailed instructions. If you are handy, or you have a preferred contractor, we can deliver the backyard structure kit to your property and you can assemble it yourself.
Do I need a permit?
We recommend that you check with your local township, while we do not require a permit on our end a lot of townships do require permits.
Do you provide drawings?
Yes, we do provide shop drawings with each purchase. If your township requires stamped engineering drawings, we can provide you with an additional fee.
Can you do 3D drawings?
Yes, we can make 3D drawings. Ask your Salesperson about this service.
What do I need for site preparation?
Ask your salesperson for what is needed for the structure you have purchased. We have a wide range of structures, so the foundation can vary.
Can you get rid of my old shed?
Yes, if you provide pictures and it is safe to haul it away, we can give you an estimate for us to remove it. If the shed is not in safe condition we can have a crew demo it on site.
How far do you deliver?
We can deliver anywhere in the continental United States. If you’re looking for international delivery, we can deliver to the port.
Do you take down fences?
Unfortunately, we don’t take down fences, it is your responsibility to take down the fence prior to delivery.
When will my building get delivered?
Our delivery times can vary throughout the year. Our goal is to have it in on site about 6-9 weeks from the time of the order. Stamped drawings can affect the lead time as well.
Do you accept Credit Card?
Yes, we take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
Can I pay with a Personal Check?
Yes
How much is the downpayment?
Standardly we require 50% upon the structure being ordered. The remaining 50% will be due upon delivery.
