Pavilion Roof Styles & Colors
The full coverage roof is one of the key features that sets a pavilion apart from a pergola. Not only is this roof fantastic as it blocks the rain and protects against direct sunlight, but it also adds to the feel of the structure. When it comes to customizing, you have tons of pavilion roof styles to choose from as well as several other choices to make. See everything right here:

The roof style has a significant impact on the overall feel of the structure. While the regular roof is best for a simple and unobtrusive style, the bell and pagoda roofs create a more upscale feeling. On the other hand, the gable roof is ideal for establishing a rustic aesthetic — especially in wood and cedar.

Once you have the pavilion roof style finalized, next you’ll select the type of material to finish the roof. You can choose from either the standard option of asphalt shingles or an ornamental, yet durable metal roof. Both of these options will last for decades and look absolutely gorgeous doing it. Both pavilion metal roofs and shingle roofs come in 12 distinct colors, each ranging from neutral tones to bold hues.

Once you have the outside roof planned out, you can start thinking about the pavilion ceiling you want to see. The standard ceiling option is to leave the rafters exposed and entirely unstained for a natural feel. However, staining the rafters while still leaving them exposed can reinforce an even stronger color theme. If you want to finish the ceiling, you can do so with either a stained cedar ceiling or a vinyl ceiling complete with a ceiling fan.

If you are building a wooden pavilion or you have a wooden ceiling, you’ll enjoy the option to customize the stain color. The six stain colors range from a clear coat all the way to a dark cinder stain. The rich mahogany stain in particular is a standout favorite as well!
