Project Summary:

This 18′ x 18′ Grand Escape Pavilion is a heavy-timber open-gable A-frame structure crafted from premium Douglas Fir. The design is anchored by four massive 8″ x 8″ solid posts set into 10″ high post bases, supporting robust 6″ x 12″ header beams and featuring elegant curved gables, braces, and decorative headers. Overhead, the 7/12 pitch roof showcases an exposed ceiling layout with 3″ x 8″ structural rafters spaced 24″ on center, covered by 1×6 tongue-and-groove decking. The roof is completed with high-quality underlayment, drip edge, and asphalt shingles in a striking Rustic Black, with all timber components finished in a Sherwin-Williams semi-transparent Walnut stain. The entire structural frame passes cleanly down to an existing slab via cement anchor bolts and powder-coated metal L-brackets, arriving ready for assembly as a floorless, non-cupola courtyard feature.
